We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Heavy Vehicle Reform team, you will play a critical role in developing and supporting the delivery of national law reforms to ensure safe, sustainable, and productive heavy vehicle and freight transport operations in Australia.

The successful candidate will have significant strategic government policy development and regulatory reform experience, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build productive working relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policy and legislation to support the Heavy Vehicle Reform Program
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and reform
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups
  • Provide advice and support to the team on policy and regulatory matters
