Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of ASC Pty Limited, the Senior Program Management Executive will lead a team of skilled professionals, providing high-level program and project direction, strategic insight, and business expertise to diverse project teams. This role functions within a multifaceted enterprise landscape, engaging with various stakeholders including the Department of Finance, Royal Australian Navy, the Naval Shipbuilding Sustainment Group, and other industry partners.
The Senior Program Management Executive is instrumental in steering project management and performance throughout the organization. This includes advocating for Project Management excellence and governance, ensuring adherence to best practices in policy, processes, and reporting. The successful implementation of these frameworks will empower various business units to achieve their distinct goals while aligning with established project management principles and governance structures. A significant aspect of this role involves fostering the growth and enhancement of Project Management capabilities, which will be integral to the overall strategic planning and asset management of the organization. The leadership provided will be crucial in aligning with the company's overarching objectives, driving towards successful outcomes while maintaining a balance between local flexibility and organizational agility.
Given the distributed nature of teams and stakeholders, occasional travel will be necessary.

Extensive experience in providing executive-level program leadership, strategic development, and business acumen to cross-functional project teams. Proven ability to direct program management and leadership across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, prioritization, and effective change management. Skilled in analyzing financial reports, commercial data, and performance metrics to assess productivity and identify areas for improvement. Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying lean methodologies to achieve cost savings and enhance processes. Expertise in identifying regulatory risks and developing comprehensive risk management frameworks to ensure compliance.
