About the Gold Coast Light Rail Project

The Gold Coast Light Rail project has revolutionized public transport in the region, creating an integrated network that connects more people to more places. As the nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, we are extending the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads.

This ambitious project involves the construction of eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment. Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centers, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic project. Working closely with our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end commercial management of large subcontracts and self-performed works.

  • Scope planning: Ensure scope gaps are minimized, cost efficiencies are maximized, and subcontractor capabilities are considered.
  • Leadership: Provide management and leadership to other commercial roles.
  • Subcontractor relationships: Maintain contact and good working relationships with a broad range of subcontractors and maintain a good awareness of market conditions and movements.
  • Risk assessment: Assess commercial and contractual risks.
  • Cost forecasting: Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and cost issues are appropriately escalated upon identification.
  • Subcontract management: Manage subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion & close out.
  • Reporting: Prepare reporting on commercial performance.
