The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Project Manager to oversee the commercial aspects of our flagship project. This key position requires a seasoned professional who can manage budgets, contracts, procurement, and risk management while ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all commercial activities on the project.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Oversee procurement processes, including contractor and supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Work closely with the project team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with all contracts and regulations.
- Maintain and monitor financial reporting systems to track cost, revenue, and profitability.
- Provide expert advice and commercial solutions to resolve complex issues.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, claims, and variations to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape project strategy and align commercial objectives.
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Project Manager in commercial construction, ideally with large-scale residential or apartment developments.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and legal obligations.
- Exceptional financial acumen with the ability to manage multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Highly skilled in procurement, negotiations, and managing subcontractors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to identify and manage risks and resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
- A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
