Job Opportunity:

Engineering Manager GS APAC plays a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and direction across the organization. The key responsibility of this position is to deliver technical assurance enabling functions in support of business needs, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational engineering and technical leadership.
  • Work closely with program/project engineering leads and their technical staff.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering and technical processes and procedures as part of the broader Quality system.
  • Manage the delivery of Technical Assurance functions, including quality assurance, audit, analysis, corrective action, reporting, and lessons learned.
  • Provide leadership and assistance to programs and projects on an as required basis, including technical advice and direction, and sourcing internal or external expertise as needed.
  • Provide direction and guidance in developing and maintaining a framework for technical learning and development.
  • Assist engineers and technical personnel with professional development and achieving qualifications and credentials.
  • Work closely with other Lines of Business and People and Culture in developing the careers of technical personnel, including training and professionalization needs, and potential future roles.
  • Actively support the integration of technical capabilities with other GS APAC Lines of Business.
  • Set technical standards and specifications.
  • Contribute to building organizational technical capability.
  • Provide organizational governance for the engineering and technical function.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years' experience.
  • Proven engineering leadership and management experience in medium to large organizations.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining engineering quality management systems.
  • Undergraduate four-year degree in engineering.
  • Registered professional engineer in an Australian jurisdiction.
  • Chartered engineering status.
  • Must be eligible to obtain an Australian government security clearance.
