Job Description\

The Inland Rail Program is a major infrastructure project in Australia that involves the construction of a 1600km rail line from Brisbane to Melbourne. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, enhancement of existing track for double stacking, and the construction of new standard gauge links.

As a Project Engineer - Civil/Rail, you will play a key role in delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and with lasting benefits for local economies and the environment.

  • \
  • Delivery of rail track and systems upgrades, bridge replacements, road works, civil structures, and third-party utility modifications at multiple sites between Albury and Illabo in central NSW.\
  • Facilitation of safe and compliant delivery of project works.\
  • Ensuring project delivery schedule targets and planning requirements are met.\
  • Monitoring and reporting on contractor performance and progress of operational readiness, quality, safety, and environmental objectives.\
\\\Required Skills and Qualifications\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.\
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.\
  • Experience working with third-party agreements, deeds, licenses, and administering agreements that interface with state, local government, and utilities authorities.\
  • Highly developed written and oral communication, presentation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.\
  • Sound knowledge of contractor management practices.\
  • Experience in operational readiness and completions processes.\
