Warehouse Inventory Manager

The role of a Warehouse Inventory Manager is a strategic position that oversees warehouse inventory operations.

About the Role
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions in line with operational procedures and standards.
  • Material handling, reconsolidating pallets, managing storage locations, maintaining the warehouse, and collaborating with the warehouse team to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Assist with safe loading and unloading of vehicles, collaborate with drivers to ensure procedures are followed and report any unsafe practices.
  • Ensure warehouse security and the security of shipments and dispatched materials by following established policies and procedures.
  • Inventory management, participating in inventory counts and cycle counts, implementing shelf-life monitoring systems, processes, and controls.
  • Manage the putaway, maintenance, and disposal/destruction of approved materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking inventory movements, stock levels, and item descriptions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless inventory management and procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and inventory management software.
  • Certifications in inventory management or logistics preferred.
