Role Overview

The Anton Murray Consulting team is seeking a skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join their clients' funds management services arm. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals in fund accounting, unit pricing, and tax services.

This 15-month contract position will report directly to the Head of Tax Division, working closely with Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Tax Services functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of operations throughout the year, taking into account relevant logistics and dependencies, to guarantee timely delivery of services.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years' experience at manager/supervisor level in funds admin, custody, or investment operations, specifically in fund accounting, unit pricing, and tax services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate deliverables through to year-end.
  • Manage timetabling, tracking, and reporting progress.
  • Gather year-end requirements from all stakeholders.
  • Manage log of outstanding issues/actions for the department.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with business coordinators.
  • Conduct review post year-end.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role and/or ≥ 5 years' experience at manager level, in a fund administration, custody, or investment operations environment.
  • Awareness of all aspects and functions of a master custody environment.
  • Strong understanding of key concepts:
    • Unit Pricing
    • Regulatory and Statutory Reporting
    • Tax Reporting
    • Valuation and Accounting
    • Distributions of Taxable Income Calculations
  • Technical Accounting Ability
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound numeracy abilities.
  • Degree or Diploma qualified in Business or Accounting fields highly preferable.
