Cloud Container Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Container specialist to join our team. As a cloud container specialist on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with various Azure technologies to build and maintain this massively scalable cloud service.

The cloud container team is responsible for building, storing, securing, scanning, replicating, and managing container images and artifacts with a fully managed, geo-replicated instance of OCI distribution. This includes connecting across environments, such as Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and across Azure services like App Service, Machine Learning, Azure Security Center, and Batch.

As a member of this team, you will help design, build, and validate various components needed to maintain, scale, and make Azure Container Registry the best choice for storing images for container workloads. You will also be part of an overall vision to secure the supply chain for all workloads running in Azure, from code, to build, to distribution, to runtime.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature
  • Contribute to the identification of dependencies and development of design documents for a product feature
  • Create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable
  • Contribute to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provide estimation
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor the service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
