Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Month-end and financial reporting
  • Financial accounting tasks including FBT, tax compliance, and consolidations
  • Management of leases and property (AASB16)
  • Accounting for acquisitions
  • Enhancing team capabilities

The successful candidate will bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • CPA or CA qualified accountant
  • Extensive experience in a similar capacity within a large, complex organization, preferably in a dealership environment
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, particularly in financial reporting
  • Technical proficiency in AASB and IFRS standards
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with financial systems, including ERP and electronic workflow solutions, is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to achieve results while managing priorities and reporting requirements
  • Capability to identify and proactively manage improvement opportunities
  • Confidence in decision-making and ability to work independently
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Leadership skills to guide a medium-sized team
