This position presents an exciting opportunity to work in water resource management, addressing the challenges of ensuring a reliable and sustainable future for our water resources.
Key Responsibilities:
The Water Planning Officer will be responsible for working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop water plans across catchments for sustainable water management. This includes conducting research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis to inform the assessment of various water management issues. The successful candidate will also assist with consultation with internal and external stakeholders, prepare policy papers, briefing notes, and other correspondence as required. Furthermore, they will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of existing national and state government strategies, policies, and legislation related to efficient and sustainable water resource management.

About You:
We are seeking individuals who possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. A background in water resource management or a related field is desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and a passion for delivering results that benefit the community.
