About the Role

The Talent Mill is seeking a talented Product Developer to join its vibrant team. As a Product Developer - Footwear, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the footwear collections, overseeing every stage from conception to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with designers to ensure the highest standards of quality for all footwear products
  • Manage the entire design process, from initial concept to final production, while adhering to strict timelines
  • Create detailed illustrations and technical drawings for presentation and review
  • Work in tandem with the design team to bring their visions to life
  • Maintain communication with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless production schedules
  • Conduct fittings and provide feedback to suppliers to ensure optimal fit and finish
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors to select materials and colours for finished products
  • Oversee production schedules and provide regular updates on progress
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate logistics and inspect product quality upon receipt

Requirements

  • A degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Proven experience in product development or design within the footwear industry
  • Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving work demands
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
