Role Overview

The position exists for a medical specialist to join the emergency department at a university hospital. This department handles around 100,000 presentations annually, with 20% of these being pediatric patients treated in a dedicated area.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care across both adult and pediatric emergency medicine.
  • Participate in aeromedical retrieval coordination.
  • Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and research initiatives.
  • Support service development and quality improvement projects.
About You
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in adult and pediatric emergency medicine is required.
  • Pre-hospital/aeromedical retrieval experience or qualifications are also sought after.
