About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager in Energy Regulation. This role involves working with government, industry, and investors to shape regulatory frameworks and support strategic decision-making across electricity networks and other regulated utilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of electricity transmission and distribution frameworks, skilled in financial modelling tools, and familiarity with the National Electricity Market and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities include leading projects involving network regulation, pricing, and performance, advising on regulatory resets, investment strategy, and compliance, delivering financial and economic analysis, monitoring regulatory developments, engaging with stakeholders, supporting reform initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in economic regulation, ideally within consulting, a regulatory agency, or a utility
  • Strong understanding of electricity transmission and distribution frameworks
  • Skilled in financial modelling tools such as PTRM and scenario analysis
  • Familiarity with the National Electricity Market and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
