Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy System Integration Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to take on a key role in the development and delivery of our energy projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of renewable energy sources into the electrical grid. This will involve working closely with our development teams to identify suitable locations for new solar PV, battery energy storage, and hybrid projects. You will also be responsible for specifying high-level designs to optimise project configurations, providing technical guidance to ensure optimal project outcomes.

In this role, you will manage the connection application process for multiple projects across various jurisdictions, ensuring timely progress and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work proactively with stakeholders, including network service providers, AEMO, and electrical designers, to negotiate optimised connection strategies and resolve any issues that may arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in a connections-focused environment within an engineering consultancy, project developer, or similar organisation
  • Strong technical knowledge of power systems analysis software packages, including PSS/E, PSCAD, and DigSilent PowerFactory
  • Excellent understanding of power system design, including HV electrical equipment, control systems, SCADA, protection, and metering
