Environmental Health and Safety Director

The organisation is partnering with a high-profile FMCG company to fill the role of Health, Safety and Environment Lead. This position will lead the health safety and environment agenda at site level for a plant in Western Sydney and a satellite site in Regional NSW.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute site-specific health safety and environment plans aligned with national strategy.
- Champion a pragmatic approach to safety, embedding best practices into daily operations.
- Stay ahead of legislative changes and ensure compliance and industry benchmarks.
- Lead meaningful incident investigations and risk assessments resulting in real improvements.
- Deliver engaging training and drive safety awareness at every level.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance, translating insights into impactful actions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leaders, influencing and coaching to build visible HSE leadership.
- Support workers' compensation and injury management with a focus on early intervention and a human-first approach.
- Proven experience in a similar HSE leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- A strong operational understanding of safety and environmental practices, with a proactive approach to building relationships across all levels.
- Skilled communicator and natural influencer, able to engage and inspire others.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations and standards.
- A confident coach and mentor, passionate about uplifting capability across operational teams.
- Experienced in leading change and introducing new initiatives in complex environments.
- A visible and authentic leader who leads by example and earns trust through action.
