About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon's statutory compliance and reporting team as an Intern. As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, support the preparation of financial statements, work with auditors, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits for multiple entities
  2. Develop an understanding of accounting and reporting requirements spanning countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Korea, and New Zealand
  3. Attend leadership meetings and gain exposure to strategic discussions
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and tax
  5. Learn to work with innovative robotics and automation technologies
  6. Develop your technical accounting knowledge putting your studies into practice
Requirements
  1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Commerce or Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, and in your penultimate (second-to-last) year of your degree
  2. Available for the full internship period
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Some work experience - whether through previous internships or university
  2. Strong academic performance
  3. Experience in Excel (e.g. sums, ifs, pivots, and lookups)
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  5. Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  6. Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with peers
