About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and self-driven individual to join our team as a Resident Lifestyle Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs of residents.

The successful candidate will coordinate daily deliveries of therapy programs under the direction of the Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist. Additionally, they will promote the facility's services to new residents and their families, manage lifestyle programs, including intergenerational activities and bus trips, and organize resident and relative meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs of residents
  • Coordinate daily deliveries of therapy programs under the direction of the Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist
  • Promote the facility's services to new residents and their families
  • Manage lifestyle programs, including intergenerational activities and bus trips
  • Organize resident and relative meetings
  • Coordinate volunteers
  • Attend to residents' and families' queries

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Hold a genuine interest in working with older people
  • Experience in therapy (essential)
  • Experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Experience in hospitality (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher experience
  • Proven experience in coordinating enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance
