Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent hand-tool skills, and relevant experience in the maintenance of electrical systems or components.

  • Key responsibilities include performing routine inspection, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, and upgrade of autonomous underwater vessel electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, conducting component and subsystem-level tests, collaborating with engineers and other trades to resolve complex issues.
  • Operate a maintenance management system, ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and consumables consumption.
  • Execute system-level maintenance acceptance tests and perform internal sea acceptance tests of completed factory acceptance test or maintenance acceptance test vessels.
  • Support development, review, and trial of standard operating procedures and documentation for AUV maintenance activities operations.
  • Assist with risk assessments for maintenance and test operations, identifying and implementing mitigations.
Requirements:

Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical system maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, and vocational training in electrical trades or associate degree. Maritime trade background is desirable as well as subsea experience or autonomous vehicle operation.

Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (wiring diagrams, work instructions, equipment schematics), experience in component, subsystem, and system level testing, diagnosing/escalating issues, and exposure to maintenance management systems.

Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills, commitment to a positive and inclusive culture, and ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.
