Job Overview

The role of Tax Preparer/Office Manager is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team and oversee the day-to-day activities of a medium-sized tax preparation office.

This office prepares approximately 1,000 tax returns annually, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging their tax preparation expertise to optimize office operations.

As a Tax Preparer/Office Manager, you will lead, mentor, and support a dynamic team to ensure smooth day-to-day activities, deliver exceptional service by assisting clients with their individual and business tax needs, and participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay ahead in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage your tax preparation expertise to oversee and optimize office operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a dynamic team to ensure smooth day-to-day activities.
  • Deliver exceptional service by assisting clients with their individual and business tax needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay ahead in the industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in preparing individual and business tax returns.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding service to both clients and staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • No current employment with any other tax accountant that could create a conflict of interest.
  • A smartphone capable of accessing the MyID system.
