Senior Talent Development Specialist

The Queensland Academy of Sport has a reputation for fostering the growth and development of elite athletes.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating opportunities for talented individuals to reach their full potential.

Our mission is to inspire greatness in every athlete we support, and we are seeking someone with exceptional talent development skills to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice to senior management on talent development strategies, focusing on long-term athlete success.
  2. Lead the implementation of programs designed to identify and develop medal potential athletes across multiple sports disciplines.
  3. Collaborate closely with coaches, physiologists, and other specialist functions to design and deliver tailored athlete plans.
  4. Develop and maintain a robust selection process for identifying emerging talent, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  5. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of athlete programs across different departments.
  6. Design and deliver initiatives aimed at promoting talent identification and development throughout the state, partnering with national and state sporting organizations as needed.
  7. Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including parents, coaches, and representatives from various sporting organizations.
