Job Opportunity:Head of Performance Services

At the forefront of Australian Cricket's High-Performance network, we are seeking an exceptional leader to drive world-class performance services for our elite athletes. Reporting directly to the General Manager, National Teams, you will oversee a team of seven direct reports responsible for integrating and delivering Sports Science, Sports Medicine, and performance technology services across the organization.

This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with national teams and as an influential leader across the High-Performance network, ensuring that our players and coaches receive best-in-class support to enhance their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: Develop and inspire a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, rewarding, and guiding.
  • Systems Leadership: Drive strategic performance outcomes by overseeing program development and delivery.
  • Strategic Planning & Innovation: Lead multidisciplinary teams to implement contemporary health and sport sciences practices.
  • Policy & Research: Manage data literacy and applied analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless execution of operations, balancing multiple priorities and adapting to changing situations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Exercise Science, Sports Science, Sport Technology and Analytics or related fields.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, performance science, or health systems preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in elite sport or high-performance environments, with at least 3 years in a proven leadership role.
