Recovery Oriented Support Specialist

This role offers a unique chance to utilize your lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to support individuals facing similar issues. You will help participants develop life skills, regain independence, and integrate into their communities by serving as a role model of hope and recovery.
About the Position
- Provide practical assistance in areas like self-care, budgeting, and accessing healthcare services.
- Assist participants with housing and building social connections.
- Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
- A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented mental health practice.
- Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health or equivalent practical experience working in a lived experience role.
- Rights to work in Australia and a current and valid Driver's License.
- National Police Records Check (less than 12 months old).
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
