About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team, responsible for leading and shaping the government's offshore oil and gas decommissioning policy and regulatory reforms. The successful candidate will have a strong background in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

  • Provide expert advice to government on policy, commercial, and regulatory options to ensure oil and gas companies fulfill their decommissioning obligations.
  • Develop and implement policies related to financial assurance, decommissioning regulations, and decommissioning planning.
  • Engage with stakeholders across industry, states, and territories, and internationally to progress best practice decommissioning.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure offshore oil and gas decommissioning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
