The Software Asset Manager is responsible for driving a business partner-centric operational model, ensuring software and hardware assets are managed efficiently, compliantly, and with maximum value.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Service Owners to track, facilitate, and optimize software and hardware contract renewals.
- Advise on solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring procurement of only approved products.
- Validate asset usage, meet financial requirements, and monitor lifecycle stages including End-of-Life, version management, and fleet size.
- Work with technology teams to design and execute transition strategies for assets and contractual arrangements.
- Identify licensing risks, non-compliance, and mitigation strategies through strong control mechanisms.
- Ensure all standards, processes, and reporting meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in software asset management, including direct dealings with software vendors (financial services experience desirable).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative skills.
- Expertise in software and hardware asset management principles.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
