We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join our Red Ochre Autonomy and Sensors program at BAE Systems Australia. This role is based at our Edinburgh Parks Adelaide facility, where we offer flexible work arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assemble and wire analogue, digital, and microwave prototype and production equipment, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to technical specifications.
- Design, construct, test, fault find, and modify prototype, production equipment, and printed circuit boards (PCBs) for radio frequency, analogue, and digital applications.
- Support the production of circuit board layouts, schematics, and diagrams, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
- Produce radio frequency and analogue PCBs using the PCB Milling prototyping system, demonstrating expertise in electronics manufacturing and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Warfare Lab Manager to maintain a well-organized and efficient lab environment, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
About You
- Hold a relevant qualification or possess significant experience in electronics, with a strong foundation in electronics principles and practices.
- Demonstrate aptitude in problem-solving, particularly in fault finding of electronic systems and equipment, with a keen interest in electronics manufacturing and engineering drawings.
- Exhibit a keen interest in electronics manufacturing and engineering drawings, with experience using CAD packages and good computer literacy.
- Display excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the team.

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
