Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening community engagement and relationships between the Queensland Police Service and local communities.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and culturally aware individual to assist in developing trust and understanding between members of the Queensland Police Service and the wider community, with a particular focus on local First Nations communities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide advice on cultural customs and protocols to police officers and other stakeholders.

  • Highly motivated and proactive

Benefits:

This is a genuine occupational requirement that an Identified position be filled by a First Nations person as permitted by and arguable under Section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).

The occupant of this position is required to hold a Queensland 'C' class driver's licence or have the ability to acquire a driver's licence.
