Senior Police Liaison Officer Role

This role involves fostering strong relationships between the local community and the Queensland Police Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to organisational understanding of First Nations cultures.
  • Enable effective communication between police officers and members of the local community.
  • Work with QPS members to identify opportunities for strengthened community engagement and development of crime prevention strategies.
  • Assist First Nations community members to access policing services.
  • Engage positively with First Nations Community Groups and other multicultural groups.
Requirements:
  • A 'C' class driver's licence or ability to acquire one.
  • Ability to work a set roster, including weekends and shifts.
Selection Criteria:
  • Relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Potential for development and personal qualities.
  • Cultural capabilities and understanding of First Nations customs and protocols.
