Civil Project Manager

We are seeking seasoned professionals to lead our Civil Project Management initiatives.
Project OverviewCivil Services Group is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects in the road construction and maintenance sector. Our ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing projects from a contractor's perspective, with a strong focus on budgeting, programming, expenditure monitoring, resource control, and priority review.
- Budgeting, programming, expenditure monitoring, resource control, and priority review.
- Managing Labour, Plant, Materials, and Subcontractors within budget and schedule.
- Contract management activities including client liaison.
- Procurement of road materials and project services following guidelines.
- Implementing project management techniques and systems.
- Reporting and providing information to management timely.
- Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes.
- Contributing to estimating processes for bids or offers.
- Maintaining high standards in traffic management.
- Strong knowledge of technical specifications.
- Experience delivering similar contracts.
- Proficiency with project management software.
- Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
- Experience with quality management systems and their application on construction projects.
- Experience with safety and environment protocols.
- Interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Current driver's license.
- At least 5 years of prior Civil Roads Infrastructure construction experience with a State Government Road Authority, either directly or through a construction company or consultant.
- Experience in road construction and maintenance delivery, managing and leading projects during the delivery phase.
The working hours are typically 38 per week, with potential for longer hours and weekend work depending on workload. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be currently residing in Queensland or willing to relocate.
Candidates will be required to adhere to high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.
