The Role

We are seeking an Education Support Specialist to join our team. As part of our Inclusive Education Hub, you will be working with students with moderate to severe and profound disabilities, including those with Intellectual Disability (ID), multiple physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Trauma.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing individualised education plans that support the whole child through targeted social-emotional skills, life skills and Protective Behaviours curriculum.

Our dynamic team of specialist teachers and education support staff work closely together to deliver individualised programmes and evidence-based practice. Teachers modify curriculum and make adjustments to meet the student's individual needs.

About the Position

This is a full-time position available immediately. The estimated annual salary is $85,000-$120,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in supporting students with complex needs;
  • Strong knowledge of Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) and trauma-informed practice;
  • Ability to develop and implement Individual Education Plans;
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with a team to deliver individualised programmes;
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Degree in a relevant field and/or relevant qualifications in special needs education;
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance.
