
Mental Health Care Specialist

Our organization specializes in delivering high-quality mental health services, focusing on adults and young people. We are dedicated to providing exceptional support and services to individuals residing in supported accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality support and services tailored to the unique needs and goals of individuals with a mental illness.
- Assist individuals with daily living skills, including personal hygiene and household tasks.
- Mentor clients in building productive relationships and utilizing effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Encourage healthy living habits and facilitate access to community resources.
- Collaborate with families, carers, government agencies, and community services to promote the rights, responsibilities, and recovery of program participants.
Requirements:
- Cert IV in mental health or community services related discipline (ideally a completed diploma or Bachelors).
- Effective listening, empathy, and communication skills.
- Experience working with people experiencing mental illness.
- Ability to remain calm and deal sensitively with distressed individuals.
- Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality.
- Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
- Availability for overnight shifts and rotating 24/7 rosters.
- Eligibility to apply/currently hold a Blue Card.
- NDIS worker screening clearance.
