Job Title: Principal UI Designer

Overview:

As a Senior UI Artist at Gameloft Brisbane, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the visual and functional systems for our games. You will work closely with Art and Design teams to ensure the highest quality graphics that define the look and feel of the menus while paying special attention to the quality of the user experience.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality UI elements that enhance the player experience. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the vision of the game while creating visually appealing and functional systems. You will work within both creative and technical specifications to deliver high-quality game assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate creativity and adaptability to various game styles and graphic styles.
  2. Maintain the vision of the game while crafting visual and functional systems for UI.
  3. Work within both creative and technical specifications to create high-quality game assets.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of UI elements.
  5. Provide clear documentation of design decisions and implementation plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a UI role.
  • Exceptional design, typography, and motion design skills.
  • Strong understanding of UI principles, with UX ideally being a plus.
  • Experience in whiteboxing and proficiency in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and/or Animate.
  • Knowledge of UE5 is a plus, but training will be offered.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UI design, graphic design, motion graphics, and iconography.
