Commercial Leader Role

This is a senior position where you will lead the commercial workstream for bid responses, including contractual positions and cost modelling deliverables across various sectors.

We are seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in leading workstreams for bid responses, including contractual positions and cost modelling deliverables.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with flexible working arrangements, allowing you to spend time in the office and from home.

About You

  • You must have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or associated relevant experience.
  • A strong commercial background in a relevant industry, particularly in operate and maintain facilities management services and defence tender responses.
  • Solid knowledge of risk management and ability to assess key assumptions on rates and unit rates.
  • Understanding of pre-contract commercial activities.
  • Broad understanding of internal commercial process compliance requirements.
  • A pro-active approach, self-motivated individual with a desire to be successful in work winning activities.
  • Experience with contracts and comfortable dealing with understanding and analysis of relevant financial drivers.
  • Enjoy working with internal stakeholders and bid team members as well as external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To identify contract-specific risks and opportunities, including legal, environmental, operational, safety and other relevant aspects.
  • Lead risk and opportunity review process for complex contracts, identify associated costs and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Design innovative commercial models that optimise profit while providing value add/continuous improvement to clients.
  • Lead tender negotiations and assist in contract awards.
  • Oversee cost model build to ensure optimal position is reached for tender success.
