We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Townsville, Australia. This is a pivotal role where you can take full responsibility and make a meaningful impact on safety outcomes.

Job Description

The Safety and Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety across the site. This includes managing compliance, promoting a culture of health and safety, and overseeing injury management and return-to-work plans.

  • Safety Inductions: Manage and coordinate all inductions across the site.
  • Compliance: Conduct site walks and ensure that all safety standards are met.
  • Safety Admin: Manage all documentation related to safety processes and compliance.
  • Return to Work: Assist with injury management and return-to-work plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree in Safety or equivalent, with excellent self-management and leadership skills. A proactive communicator with strong multitasking abilities is essential for this role.
