About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT desktop support specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our End User Computing (EUC) team, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical desktop support to our customers.

In this role, you will work closely with our EUC team leader and other technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of our services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing requests for installation and relocation of EUC hardware, such as desktops, laptops, and terminals;
  • Providing remote desktop services and higher-level technical troubleshooting;
  • Performing hardware asset tracking;
  • Providing desktop break/fix services in our ICT environment, including desktop and laptop computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and cables, terminals, KVMs, and cables, peripheral devices, desktop and network printers, and MFDs, mobile phones, and mobility devices, and operating system and applications;
  • Prioritizing workload to assist seniors with P1 and P2 incidents, provide updates, and manage tickets to resolution;
  • Providing a high level of technical/engineering support to customers in relation to all relevant EUC systems;
  • Investigating and resolving reported system and application-type faults using remote diagnostic tools and standard engineering analytical techniques;
  • Acting as an interface between the client and vendors regarding med/high-level technical issues;
  • Providing guidelines for client training in the use and maintenance of EUC systems and facilities;
  • Using troubleshooting tools and techniques to diagnose and implement control actions as necessary to ensure availability, including performance in terms of capacity, utilisation, and availability, in accordance with relevant Service Level Agreements.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an EUC role, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You will be a team player with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.

You will also have essential experience in:

  • Windows Server, AD, Exchange, and MDM;
  • SCCM;
  • Experience working within a large multi-site organisation and multi-team environment;
  • Providing leadership and guidance to other ICT support teams.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, bonus days, discounted health insurance options, 14 weeks paid parental leave, up to 4 paid volunteer days per annum, ability to purchase additional leave, and free confidential counselling to employees and immediate family members.
