This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced social worker to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality counselling, advocacy, and therapeutic care to patients and their families, carers. They will also be required to assess, plan, organise, deliver, evaluate, and report on the provision of high-quality Social Work care.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within a social work specialty area.
- Assess, plan, organise, deliver, evaluate, and report on the provision of high-quality Social Work care.
- Demonstrate advanced Social Work reasoning skills, exercising independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing cases.
- Communicate effectively with patients/clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan intervention strategies.
- Provide in-depth advice and support regarding Social Work to healthcare professionals and act as a consultative role within the specialty area.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills, practicing within risk management, safety, and quality frameworks.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality Social Work education to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Advanced degree in Social Work or related field.
- Extensive experience in social work, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
