The successful candidate will be passionate about building a career in health and safety, gaining exposure to all critical areas of health and safety in high-risk industries and environments. AGL is transitioning to 12GW of new renewable generation and firming by 2035, creating genuine career growth within one of Australia's largest industries.

As a Graduate Advisor – Health & Safety, you will be supported, nurtured, and developed while working at our Bayswater Power Station. You will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and review of H&S policies, systems, and procedures, including the AGL contractor management framework.

  • Support project teams with accordance to AGL HSE Project Governance procedures and Contractor Management Framework.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of H&S initiatives and actions.
  • Support business with HSE contractor forums for critical contracting engagements.
  • Assist Manager with RFP/tender reviews.
  • Monitor H&S performance for projects and implement improvement programs or interventions for continuous performance enhancement.

Key qualifications include a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environment, or related discipline; Cert IV or above (preferred but not essential). Enthusiasm to begin a career in health and safety, strong people and relationship skills, understanding of operational site safety requirements and safety as a core value are also essential. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, being a team player excited by new and challenging environments are required.
