Child and Family Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to provide support and supervision to families and children in care arrangements.

This is a key role within our team, requiring close collaboration with government agencies, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.

The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.

  • Undertake case planning and assessment in partnership with relevant government agencies, children, and their families, carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers in relation to their caring for children and young people in their home.
  • Support and supervise foster carers in the case planning process and assist them to implement strategies outlined in the case plan.
  • Provide supervision and support to direct reports.
  • Ensure necessary risk assessments, cultural support plans, safety plans, and behavioral support plans are developed and implemented.

Key Requirements:

  • A recognised degree qualification in social work or psychology or related field.
  • Significant experience in the child protection and out-of-home care sector.
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
