Delivering Trauma-Informed Care in a Supportive Team Environment
Make a lasting impact by providing trauma-informed care for children, families, and communities across Inverell and the Northern Tablelands.
This role offers more than just clinical work. You'll support children, families, and communities affected by violence, abuse, and neglect across the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Counselling and Therapeutic Support: Deliver high-quality counselling and therapeutic support to children, families, and communities impacted by violence, abuse, and neglect.
- Care Provision: Provide care across Inverell and outreach areas including Glen Innes, Warialda, and Tenterfield.
- Culturally Safe Practice: Apply NSW Health's SAS and CPCS models and champion culturally safe practice, including Aboriginal-led initiatives.
- Support for Vulnerable Children: Support children under the age of criminal responsibility presenting with harmful sexualised behaviours.
- After-Hours Crisis Response: Respond to after-hours psychosocial crises as part of the Tier-2 iVAN roster.
- Must hold a qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or Counsellor that provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- The knowledge, skills, and experience to meet the requirements of a Level 3 Allied Health Clinician.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence and ability to travel as part of the role within an outreach capacity.
