About the Role:
Peabody Energy is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Centurion underground mine, located in a remote area. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all warehousing functions, ensuring timely and effective execution of activities in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods and materials.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels and movements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance warehouse operations and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory management, preferably in the resources or heavy industry sectors.
- High-level SAP inventory management experience.
- 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience, preferably in the resources or heavy industry sectors.
- Mining Supervisor Certification (S1, S2, S3).
- Advanced computer skills.
- Cert IV in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage).
