Maintenance Activity Governance

  • This role is focused on key milestones through the vessel maintenance activity within a specific network.
  • Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Provide governance and assurance of technical support networks to ensure vessel compliance with safety requirements.
  • Assist in delivering high-quality services and maritime products.
  • Ensure accurate completion of work within agreed schedules.
  • Fully consider, cost, and document product management requirements.

About the Role

This position is part of an organisation being implemented to realise a national approach to sustainment of the naval fleet. The focus will be on collaboration, co-ordination, workforce development, and expansion to build capability and capacity needed to meet increasing ship maintenance demands.

You can access flexible working arrangements, including occasional work from home and non-traditional working hours.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to effectively communicate and build and sustain relationships. Strong writing and reporting skills are essential, along with the ability to write clearly and concisely. You should also have expertise in risk management, applying technology, and learning rapidly.

In addition, you should be able to follow procedures and instructions, showing commitment to compliance with safety, policy, and legislative requirements. Your strong analytical, synthesising, and presenting skills will aid key decision-making.

About Maritime Sustainment

The role requires reviewing and analysing maritime technical information, consulting resources and documentation for clarity, making judgements, and having the ability to think objectively and systematically. We are looking for someone who can apply, develop, and share their specialist and detailed maritime technical expertise, understanding associated disciplines and how they relate to one another in the context of maritime sustainment and maintenance.
