We are seeking a skilled Procurement Advisor to join our team in a key role within the organization.
- This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented procurement professional to make a real impact and contribute to the success of our projects.
The Procurement Advisor will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the Goods and Services Procurement Framework, ensuring that procurement processes align with organizational policies and guidelines. The successful candidate will also conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities, support tendering activities, including preparing documentation and evaluating submissions.
The Procurement Advisor will provide advice to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices, maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Goods and Services Procurement Framework;
- Ensure procurement processes align with organizational policies and guidelines;
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities;
- Support tendering activities, including preparing documentation and evaluating submissions;
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices;
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements;
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms;
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities;
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve business objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A solid understanding of procurement principles and practices;
- Experience in preparing tender documentation and evaluating supplier proposals;
- Experience in procurement within infrastructure or construction environments (Vic Gov experience desirable);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities;
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced procurement environment.
