Graphic Designer

A full-time opportunity is available for a graphic designer to create electronic and print media that meet our objectives. This can be done remotely or on-site in Victoria.

We are seeking an individual with expertise in visual design to develop and refine media projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with a team to conceptualize and refine media projects including writers, photographers, illustrators and others.
  2. Utilize software tools such as PhotoShop, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to create high-quality designs.
  3. Evaluate illustrations and photographs and plan their presentation.
  4. Arrange layout based on available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts including typography, colour, balance and information hierarchy.
Qualifications:
  1. Proficient in the use of trade software for both Windows and Mac operating systems, graphic tablets, and laser printers for both B&W and colour.
  2. Familiarity with the print and electronic processes, techniques and procedures in the publishing industry related to the design of electronic and print media.
  3. At least two years successful experience designing print and/or electronic media using trade software. A portfolio must be submitted for review.
Training and Support:

Bible college and language training are desired but not required. Orientation workshops will be provided, held at our National Centre in Victoria.

The Launch language and culture orientation course may also be useful if the applicant desires.
