We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef/Sous Chef & Cook to join our culinary team in Charters Towers, Townsville, and Ayr Queensland. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the preparation and presentation of food meet the highest standards
  • Manage stock levels and maintain adherence to company procedures and recipe guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
  • Collaborate with the head chef to achieve cost control targets and ensure budgeted profits are met
  • Able to work independently and harmoniously with the rest of the team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in commercial cooking, preferably in fast-paced service and quality-focused environments
  • Appropriate trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cooking
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
