The company is seeking a Business Development Manager in Brisbane to promote a portfolio of solutions, including industrial automation, motors and motor control, and LV power distribution products.
This role involves calling on Industrial Contractors, OEMs, System Integrators, and large End Users throughout the Brisbane Metro and Bundaberg Region.
To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong industrial automation background, the ability to work autonomously, great communication skills, and a desire to provide exceptional service.
- Develop sales action plans aligned with the state strategy.
- Research and identify new prospects and sales opportunities, while developing key accounts.
- Organise and plan face-to-face meetings with active/prospective customers.
- Establish senior-level relationships with customers.
- Follow a sales process to effectively qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with local and national teams to allocate effective resources.
- Supply accurate information to the management team through the CRM.
- Apply sales activities through a consultative approach.
- Attend industry-related events for business development, networking, and market intelligence.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Solid sales experience combined with an industrial automation background.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to work as part of a team, learn, and create solutions.
- An attractive annual base salary plus superannuation.
- A generous incentive structure.
- Annual car allowance plus fuel card.
- Laptop and mobile phone provided.
