Project Engineer Opportunity in Perth

NES Fircroft is collaborating with a prominent Australian Tier 1 Iron Producer to source an experienced Project Engineer for the design and execution of a new mine Processing Plant project. The role will initially be based from the client's Perth offices during the design phase, transitioning to site on a FIFO roster.

The successful candidate will assist in the final design stage and support project execution on site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate budget and schedule forecasts
  • Develop and review detailed project documentation (scopes, designs, plans)
  • Manage minor design, procurement, and construction contracts
  • Oversee contractors completing minor construction works on-site

To excel in this role, you'll require:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Engineering
  • Working knowledge of processing plants, preferably iron ore plants
  • Background in SMP - Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continual improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing contractors and overseeing construction works
  • Effective approach to managing on-site safety
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software tools
  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Australian Working Rights
  • National Police Clearance
