Work Location : Thunderbox Operations Roster : 8 days on 6 days off What you can look forward to : Daily co-ordination and scheduling of all mining activities including load and haul, drill and blast, and other ancillary mining activities.
Mine design requirements such as pit changes, roads, waste dumps and other infrastructure.
Generating weekly and monthly mining plans.
Assisting in the generation of quarterly, budget and longer term mining schedules and planning.
Drill and Blast Design, QA / QC of drill and blast activities.
End of day / week / month reporting for all mining activities and compliance against schedule.
Monitoring and reporting of mining costs and assist in the management of cost controls.
Investigation of optimal mining methods and schedules for the total mine reserves.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring : Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Competence with mining software packages e.g.
Deswik.
Ability to prepare reports and good analytical skills.
Open pit practical time completed is highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
