
Fire Response Specialist

About Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is responsible for ensuring public safety through provision of effective emergency management services. The agency provides high quality fire, rescue, and disaster management services across a range of emergency situations.
Key Requirements- A valid driver's license, Employers consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable), Australian Permanent Resident Status
- Attend 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours; or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours
- Attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions
- Possess an MRV licence within 12 months of employment
- Participate in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid/emergency care
- Comply with QFES policies and procedures including code of conduct, safety and personal presentation standards
- Respond to emergency incidents
- Promote community safety by contributing to education activities
- Develop competencies by participating in drills and training courses to ensure safety on the job site
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist equipment in a safe manner
- Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of facilities
- Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and facilities
- Contribute to incident reporting and general administration as required
