Senior Mine Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Mine Operations Manager to lead our mine activities.

  • Provide leadership to achieve safe and effective production;
  • Manage the production functions in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

The role involves:

  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures;
  • Maintaining a safe working environment;
  • Demonstrating safe behaviors and providing visible safe leadership to team members;
  • Implementing risk management tools and relevant procedures;
  • Leading and developing teams;
  • Effectively utilizing resources to achieve production targets;
  • Conducting operations in an environmentally responsible manner;
  • Supervising contractors in mining areas;
  • Training and competent personnel on site;
  • Identifying training requirements within the crew and facilitating multi-skilled crews;
  • Participating in continuous improvement programs;
  • Liaising with maintenance, technical, and other support services;
  • Developing strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience supervising a large workforce;
  • Valid NSW/Australian Drivers license;
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Computer literacy skills;
  • Commitment to safety as a way of life;
  • Proven track record in senior supervisory roles;
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution within a mining environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An OCE qualification and current practicing certificate;
