We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team for two contract roles. These exciting opportunities will provide you with the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, driving value for money across diverse projects.
The successful candidates will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and supporting process improvements. You will have the opportunity to develop Strategic Category Management Plans and drive behavioral change initiatives.
SalaryThe salary package for these roles is up to $141,000 per annum, providing a competitive remuneration package.
Job DescriptionAs a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to major events, libraries, and venue hire services. You will also support the Procurement Business Partner in overseeing procurement for construction projects, City Access and Transport, Urban Design, and Architectural teams.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure value for money across diverse projects.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, State Government guidelines, and council policies and procedures for tendering and contract activities.
- Managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Operating within a matrix organization compliant with legislation and competitive practices.
- Supporting process improvements and developing Strategic Category Management Plans.
- Driving behavioral change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A relevant degree or tertiary qualification.
- Experience in a busy procurement team within a complex organization.
- Resilience and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Enjoyment of multi-tasking and roles with variety, where no two days or projects are the same.
- Flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, with mandatory office days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
